Camille O’Connor is the National Director and Programme Developer of Active Mums NZ and is mum to four children. She also currently runs the Central Otago franchise of Active Mums and has been running Active Mums classes for over 6 years.
She has been involved in the Fitness Industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience in exercise prescription and prides herself on remaining up to date with new training methods and exercises.
After completing her Bachelor of Physical Education at the Otago University she went on to set up her own Personal Training Business, has been the Programme Manager of the Certificate in Personal Training at Otago Polytechnic, has worked for New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness in Training Personal Trainers, has worked with Top Sports Teams and individual athletes, is a Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor, is an Assessor of Fitness Qualifications for Skills Active NZ and owns her own Fitness Centre in Alexandra (Pulse Fitness).
Camille is passionate about helping others through exercise and supporting mums to make lifestyle changes to improve their overall health and wellness. She totally believes that a Healthy and happy mum equals a happy family.
She has first-hand experience and knows the benefits of exercising during and after pregnancy.
Active Mums exercise programmes are constantly changing due to new research and training methods (especially core exercises suitable for new mums) so you can be assured of the best possible advice and safety when it comes to exercising during and post pregnacy.
