My name is Emma King from Blenheim. I am a mum of four Jack 14yrs, Harlem 8yrs, Milani 6yrs and Bowie 3yrs.

I have been passionate about the fitness industry since I had my son Jack (13 years) when I joined a mums and bubs class. I was instantly hooked to the feeling of mental clarity and physical strength and knew that one day I’d like to inspire that feeling for others.

Previously a qualified makeup artist, over the past decade I’ve worked in the fitness industry, mostly notably for Sport Tasman in Nelson, organising codes and helping with classes tailored to all levels of ability from the elderly and the new mums through to HIIT classes.

After moving to Marlborough, I joined The PT Collective and loved it so much that in 2020 I began working towards my long-time dream of becoming a qualified personal trainer which I completed my apprenticeship through skills active and then followed on getting certified in freestyle group exercise.

I loved doing the active mum’s course and love the passion they have to help mums through the journey of becoming mum and getting them to move safely again and that they can do all the movements with their babies.

I love helping people to find their ‘out’, as I once needed and enabling them to reach their goals, whether they be to lose weight, get strong or just work towards a health and sustainable lifestyle as the best version of themselves.

Becoming a PT has been the best decision for me; it truly doesn’t feel like work when you are so passionate about what you do.  I love motivating people and helping them push themselves further then they thought possible.


No classes scheduled

MUMS IN MOTION POST-NATAL PROGRAMME – an 8 week course focusing on regaining core stability, pelvic floor control and overall strength.

MUMS IN ACTION ADVANCED POST-NATAL PROGRAMME – 45-60 min class for Mum’s. Workout varies each session from circuit to boot camp style workouts.
A functional workout building on the strength and stability developed from the Mums in Motion programme.

MUM-TO-BE TRAINING – Small group OR 1 on 1 Personal Training sessions. Safe exercise prescription specific to the individuals stage of pregnancy and level of fitness.
