Trainer Profile

Hi I am Marianne, the Wellington trainer and operator.

I am mum to 2 year old Zac and 6 week old Sam. I started up the Wellington franchise in January as I was annoyed that there was nothing up and running for me when I had Zac!

I heard about Anna’s Active Mums business through a friend and thought- Perfect- what great programmes!! I have now experienced the programmes being pregnant and post baby which I think has been beneficial as I can relate well to my clients.

I have a Bachelor of Education specialising in Physical Education and in the past have played and now coach top level netball. You may also hear me commentating netball for radio sport! I have always been passionate about health and fitness and I worked as an aerobics instructor while I was at
university.

More recently I have been a PE teacher in Christchurch, London and Wellington and I have been a Head of Physical Education at Queen Margaret College for the last 5 years. I try to make my classes fun, challenging and with heaps of variety.

I am loving helping mums out in Wellington with their fitness and have enjoyed getting to know all the mums and babies and am hoping that my healthy lifestyle will set a good example for my two boys.
